Actually there are two things named "Grond" ; -Called the Hammer of the Underworld, Morgoth's mighty mace that he bore when he slew Fingolfin before the doors of Angband.
and -The battering ram used to destroy Minas Tirith's Great Gate during the Battle of the Pelennor. It took its name from the ancient weapon of Morgoth: Grond, the Hammer of the Underworld.
That is really cool that you came up with that word because in the Extended Edition of Return of the King they actually call the battering ram Grond and they all chant it as they bring it to the gates, well they chanted in the theatrical version, but you dont actually understand what they are saying until you see the extended edition! Very cool!!
Dimholt
"Take the Dimholt road, put aside the Ranger, become who you were born to be." -Elrond
