Here is my transcription of the song NamariëGaladriel sent me. Long before Men tread Middle Earth Before the Dwarves and Elves gave birth There lived a race for the trees defense In the Heart of Fangorn there lived the Ents ahhh ooohh hudda hoo huddadda hooo hudda hoo ahhh ooohh hudda hoo huddadda hooo hudda hoo Patient farmers, they tend their Wood Guardians of stems and of roots Here the arbours, immense in Wales Falling axes and tearful trails ahhh ooohh hudda hoo huddadda hooo hudda hoo ahhh ooohh hudda hoo huddadda hooo hudda hoo Living creatures are on the land And hasty judgements make careless hands A thoughtless word from a thoughtless king A thousand creatures died beneath the trees ahhh ooohh hudda hoo huddadda hooo hudda hoo ahhh ooohh hudda hoo huddadda hooo hudda hoo Rivers may flow, though the course may change Birds are born and will fly away [/i]

Wow! That is great!! I was a little foggy on some of the lyrics and it looks like you cleared them up! I am glad that you enjoy it so much! Is there somehow you could change it into a wav. format? If you could I could have it playing in the background for one of the topic boards!

I found a site that features Bard Marc Gunn and has the lyrics to the song, also alot about his other music and a bunch of other stuff! You should check it out: Bard Marc GunnHere are the lyrics; you pretty much nailed them, great job!!! The Heart of Fangorn by Marc Gunn, Bard 11/21/02
I'm a big fan of JRR Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings". The Brobdingnagian Bards were working on a tribute album to Tolkien , called Memories of Middle Earth which has me writing songs. This one is a good environmentalist song about Treebeard and the Ents, and the troubles they must face to thrive in a world where people destroy without care.Long before men tread Middle-Earth, Before the dwarves and elves gave birth, There sprouted a race for the trees' defense In the heart of Fangorn, there live the Ents.
Ha-room... Ha-da-ra-room. Ha-room... Ha-da-ra-room.
Patient farmers they tend the woods. Gaurdians of stems and of roots. They hear the arbors' laments and wails From falling axes and tearful trails.
For Living Creatures all roam the land, But hasty judgements make careless hands. One thoughtless word from a thoughtless king A thousand creatures die beneath the trees.
The rivers will flow though their course may change. The birds are born and will fly away. Men will come and men will go, But the Ents remain through the melting snow.
