I heard that many people were disappointed that Arwen robbed Glorfindel's part. Some people even hate Arwen for that! Well anyways I think they show him in the extened version.........who am I to know?? I never watched it.............

Oooooooo!! The extended versions are awsome!! For me, they are the "real versions" of the movie!! I do not believe that Glorfindel is in it though, but there is so much more Elvishness in the extended versions, entire scenes from Lothlórien, and more Elvish speech, more character building, more explanation of the hows and whys!! Oh man! I cannot believe you have not watched them!! Go to your local video store and rent them today!! Go!!!! What are you waiting for? ;D But seriously I think you would love them!! I know I do!

I thought that scene with Arwen was well done, they had to tie her in somehow if you were going to know who she was, and with as many characters as they already had, they did not need to add more for everyones confusion. I think it was a good call by PJ!! Also another good call was not to have Arwen fight in the Battle of Helms Deep! Wow! That would have been really bad! I guess enough people said "What are you thinking?" and he decided to cut it. Instead they did that sequence with her and Elrond, and Arwen's sort of "psychic connection" with Aragorn when he is floating down the river. I am vey glad he decided to do that instead!!

Actually that didn't really happen in the book, but they do have a kind of psychic connection, like all people in love do, they can just feel the other isn't well and in turn the other can feel them with them and it can make them feel better. (did that make any sense?) Plus the Elves have a hightened sence of awarness that would amplify this and since Aragorn is of the Dúnedain, and grew up with the Elves, he shares it a bit as well. Anyways their tale is actually fully told in the "Appendix" [glow=purple,2,300]appendix A, part (v), page 1032[/glow]

It is also said that Galadriel can speak in others minds (obviously) and that it passed down to Arwen.

You are correct there!! Indeed all Elves share this trait, just some more than others I guess!!
