I have here a collection of Extended Edition pictures!!
I don't know about all of you, but I sure am looking forward to it!!!

Special Extended Edition of Return of the King, will be arriving in shops December 14th!!! This new four-disc set will include over fifty minutes of never-before-seen footage integrated into the original theatrical release, along with an additional two-discs of bonus material.
The gift set will include the four-dics DVD, along with a Sideshow/Weta statue of Minas Tirith, as well as a Howard Shore Creating the Lord of the Rings Symphony DVD.

The statue opens up and has a little compartment! You know what you can put in there!! heh heh!

I will start with one of the first scenes I believe will be included, the Bar scene, you know where Pippin and Merry do a gig and Gandalf asks Aragorn "how do we know Frodo is alive?" Well this scene features a shot of Éomer having a mug of ale, and Legolas and Gimli having a drinnking contest!











Next is the scene that I am looking forward to alot! It is the scene where Aragorn challenges Saruman through the Palantír!! I am sooo glad they are including it, all you got to see in the Theatrical version was Aragorn touching it, after Pippin did, and falling limp on the ground! What a rip I thought!!

Next there are some pics of Frodo and Sam at the Crossroads of Morannon one way, South the next, Osgiliath the third and a fourh way, the one in which they were to take, a path eastward, into darkness.









I am not sure exactly where they are going to put this in, but it is Frodo, as he would be, if he had kept the One Ring! Creepy!!

This next pic is one of that book, is the one she is reading, you know, when she sits down and drops it. She is reading about Aragorn's passage through the Paths of the Dead.

And now some more footage from the Paths of the Dead! There is more with Aragorn in the caves, Aragorn and Legolas leaving the caves and even them meeting up with the Corsair ships!!!

Let's not forget about Saruman now, as they did in the Theatrical Version!!
Here are a few from Orthanc, I am not quite sure how him holding the Palantír will fit in but here is the pics!

Let's not forget about Grima and his part, although it looks like it happens at Isengard, not the Shire!!

Denethor holding a Palantír. I am glad they are adding more about him, it's not his falt he was a raging pshyco, the Palantír and Sauron made him do it!!




Here is a pic, of what it looks to me as the Witch-king with the Palantír. I suppose that it could be the Palantír of Minas Morgul.

Pelennor feilds has a lot of extra footage it seems!! First there is a wide shot of the battle, this may not be an extended scene, it may just be another angle, then again it could also be that it looks new only because it is a still shot!! Either way it's a cool pic!



And now, that scene we all remember from the preview that was not in the movie, the one where Gandalf and Merry encounter the Witch-king near the top of Minas Tirith, well I do anyway!















A shot of Legolas, maybe not an Extended Scene pic but I thought Laitorni would appreciate it!!



A shot of Gimli fighting that mutant deformed Orc (I cannot recall his name at the moment) I was always dissapointed that he did not get squashed by that slingshotted piece of the Tower, but maybe his dimise in the EE will be worth the dodge!!

And then finding him? This ones a weird one cause it looks like battle is going on in the background, Pippin finds him after the battle, not to mention Pippin still has his helmet on!! I guess we will just have to wait and see!!




Here is another odd one that I am not sure how it will fit in, maybe Éowyn and Merry have a few words before they pass out, or perhaps it is on the road to Pelennor Feilds where this is shot.

The Houses of the Healing! Of course they wouldn't leave this out!! It is one of the reasons the Extended Editions were made!!! I can't wait!!!

The March on the Black Gate, in these pictures it shows the Mouth of Sauron!








Notice the Mithril shirt in that last pic! Right outta the book! That was one scene i was definetly hoping was in there!!

Not many, actually none of the Scouring of the Shire. Doesn't give much hope that it will be in the EE, but.....there is still hope........
Well here is a pick of Merry decked out! I will add more as I come accross them!!!
