I live in a small town of about 7,000 people. We have 2 beautiful rivers running along through town, which connect to eachother in the south end. Lush green trees line the roads, and the stars shine clear and bright at night. We have deer that practicly live in our backyards, bears and sometimes cougars come down from the mountains and howling wolves can be heard in the dead of the night. It does get quite cold in the winter time sometimes dropping to -15 to -20 degrees Celsius (about 0 degrees Farenheit) but it's not bad I grew up in a place that got to -35 to -40 degrees Cesius sometimes!!!!! BRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! It is nicknamed "Sunshine Valley" which we do get a lot of, summertime it gets up to 40 degrees Celsius (about 100 degrees Farenheit) I am so pale I have to be careful or I will turn into a lobster!!
So this is what it is like where I live!! What is it like where you live?

I'm living in the most important place that history's ever seen. 8-)Istanbul(Constantinapolis in Roman Empire).Mehmet the 2.(The Conqueror) had captured the city from Byzantines. As I know,it's the only place where three religions are together.Actually,I've moved here this year from the capital of Turkey,Ankara.so I don't know much about this city but I wish I could live at the times that it's been surrounded by Ottoman army.

Does it snow ever? What is your landscape like? Trees? Lakes? Sand? Apologies for all the questions but I am not very up on my Geography, of Earth that is, now Middle-earth, that's a different story!! heh heh!! ~NG~

well Namarie, the weather is nice.it's usually warm in Istanbul but in the inner cities,(Ankara for example),I know last year snow stayed on the ground for more than a month! It's changing according to climate.the landscape is different for each region.in northwest its sort of smooth.if you know about Turkey's general shape, both south and north of the country have mountains in the same direction with the sea.on the west side, mountains and sea are like l ----(hope you understand my point, the dictionary program isn't working, arrrgggghhh!!!!)the east side of the country is like the roof of our country.the mountains are highest in that area. hope I could tell, sorry for my bad English

Your English wasn't that bad. I understood basically all of it except for the part of the roof thing...I'm not that good with geography either. I live in Canada! In Richmond Hill in Ontario. It's like a neighbourhood. It is not nessisarily a small town...some people consider it part of Toronto because it is so close to it. You might get winter for one month there but here last year we had winter from like November to March! Almost half the year...so much for Ground Hog Day. Two more weeks of snow my ----...sorry I'm not that fond of cold weather. Today was the first day with snow! Nov. 26 I got to remember that... yikes, enough about my home... probably bored you guys.
